This flour is stone milled and then sieved, so contains less bran than our wholemeal flour. This flour has a nutty earthy flavour, so try it in a tasty soda bread, and in bread made with yeast. Mix this flour with strong plain flour for a better rise, if that’s your thing. Can also be used in biscuits, muffins and crumbles.
This flour is made from wheat grown and stone milled on our family farm. We look after the crop from the day it’s planted right up until it’s harvested and store in our barns. Milling is a slow process which keeps the flour cool.
